Collapsible hitches and bridge plates were standard with the first generation of Flush-Decks.
During 1982 many railroads, including Trailer Train, Santa Fe, FEC and Southern Pacific began a modernization program to retrofit the flat cars for Twin 45. During the retrofit, collapsible hitches and bridge plates were also removed
Our Flush-Deck comes with bridge plates to allow modeling of early cars. The top deck comes with the sides pre-bent allowing for a quick build. Requires Trucks and Z-Scale couplers. Accepts the MLE Hitches.
